![]() Marriott's key goal in redesigning the "Specials and Packages" section of Marriott.com was to increase sales of special offerings via that part of the web site. Important objectives in support of this goal were to improve the user experience, to provide personalization for Marriott Rewards members, and to effectively convey the value of the current specials. Two significant outcomes of the redesign were re-architecting the search functionality to improve the relevancy and presentation of results and renaming this section of Marriott.com "Deals."
